Measure the distance between the ceilings where you want the Lowes pendant lights to hang. On plain paper, draw a horizontal line near the top of the paper to represent the ceiling. Jump down a box on the paper for every 3 inches distance and drag a line at measurement where you want the underside of light. For example, if your full distance to the light is 3 feet, 6 inches, it’s 42 inches in total. Twenty two divided by three is 14, so your win should be 14 squares below your top line. Your light design should fall between these two lines.

Determine the type of lamp you want to use for your Lowes pendant lights. Halogen lamps give a light, white light but not very long and can generate a lot of heat. Tungsten lamps give warmer, bright light and slightly longer, while low-energy lamps (LEDs) and LEDs last much longer than either tungsten or halogen and produce very little excess heat. The type of lamp you are using will determine the type of lamp socket you need, and will affect the size of your hanging light. CFL bulbs may require a standard size bulb outlet, while candelabra large sockets are available for smaller fluorescent lights, as well as a variety of halogen sockets. LEDs may require special wiring due to lower voltage requirements.
